COWBOY SOUL & CATWALK MUSIC
That’s how we’ve been describing our music style. Almost each of our songs has it’s own style and atmosphere. So just to give it a name (e.g. get tagged on the various sites) .. Well somehow it seems to ‘cover the cargo’. :-)
KILL YOUR DARLINGS
Themanandhismusic’s first demo-album features a wide variety of styles and musicians from different disciplines such as MAI (vocals), Ino Kruijssen (vocals), Robert van Kwakkelstein (piano & keyboards), Nicko Christiansen (sax, member of the Livin’ Blues), Gio Harthoorn (bass), Tony Ynot (vocals), Jan Kliment (harmonica, member of the HotFootPowder Bluesband), Astrid Kies (vocals), André van Solinge (guitar) Inge Wezendonk (vocals) and many more. It was released June 2007 and came with two video's 'P@s Moi Cherie' and 'Slow Motion - libertango'. Up till now those two vids have been viewed over a 300.000 times worlwide. And fortunately: the album was sold out in three weeks. So far we don't plan to do a new CD pressing: we put all the songs as free downloads on the site: so enjoy!
PROJECT THEMANANDHISMUSIC
Musicians, artists, models, photographers, dancers, camera and video-editors are all enthousiasticly involved in the The Hague (The Netherlands)-based project Themanandhismusic. Leading man is Roberto Tangel.
WHO IS ROBERTO TANGEL?
Roberto Tangel is a singer-songwriter. Along with singing, he plays the guitar, piano & trombone. He has been a dancer and club-DJ for years. Working as a dancer in ultra-fashionable clubs as Pacha & Amnesia (Ibiza) and Nelson & The Tube (New York). Being club-DJ all over Europe, residence-DJ in Sinners (Amsterdam) and De Tijd (The Hague).
THINGS TO COME
Right now we're working on new songs & videos for our coming double-album 'CowboySoul & CatwalkMusic'. The first single & video from this album, 'You Got It', with Inge Wezendonk on leadvocals was released last July. The second release (as single & video) will be 'Jump'. We are shooting this vid right now. Eventually we’ll be getting the band together and do live gigs.
